Origins of an idea

IP Marketing was conceived in 1994 with the focus of helping businesses review how the then fledgling web and commercial use of the Internet could be used to help them expand their business scope.

At the time a number of creative agencies were starting to take an interest in the web - it was after all just another publishing medium wasn't it? No!

Simultaneously computer resellers were seeing the opportunity to sell servers, arrange for leased circuits, configure firewalls and write HTML pages.

The concept was born

There seemed very few people that could explain what the technologies could deliver from a business perspective let alone review how the web might radically alter how a business operated. Phrases such as; "We'll interview your managers to understand their requirements" hardly struck of vision in how to make use of Internet technologies at a time when many managers weren't sure quite what the Internet or web were - and certainly not how they were different - let alone articulate a set of requirements.

So was born the concept of IP Marketing. Our mission was to work with businesses to help them gain greatest benefit from the new opportunities offered. People were starting to realise they needed to; 'do something', but were less sure about; 'what sort of something'. We therefore set out to work with clients to help them determine 'the something' and to then make it happen for them.

We have assisted clients in the UK, US, Norway, Sweden, France and Cyprus.
